S5 AND S6 - HIGHER TECHNOLOGICAL STUDIES

The Higher Technological Studies course will build on and develop the knowledge gained from Standard grade and or Intermediate 2 courses, with greater depth of treatment being applied to individual topics. The level of mathematics required in the analysis of problems, and the degree of integration of concepts, which pupils will require, will further expand each pupil’s abilities in a manner in line with modern technology.

Pupils will be required not only to process information and to develop understanding of concepts, but, in addition, they are required to demonstrate capability in applying concepts to the solution of practical problems.

This course has four mandatory units:

•    Applied Electronics            Systems and Controls
•    Structures and Materials    Case Study Report
