S3 AND S4 - STANDARD GRADE SCIENCE

The underlying philosophy of the course is the provision of opportunities for pupils to acquire knowledge and understanding of scientific facts, ideas and applications, and to develop practical abilities, all of which can be used to solve scientific problems.
Science is offered at Foundation, General and Credit Levels, and is designed to challenge the most able pupils as well as to provide support and allow success for pupils of lower academic attainment.
The topics covered so far are:

• Energy and its Uses
• A study of Environments.

Pupils are currently doing their investigations which will contribute to their practical abilities grade.
