S4,S5 AND S6 - INTERMEDIATE 2

The course continues from the Standard Grade General course as follows:

•    Unit 1 Appreciation, depreciation, volumes of cones and spheres, straight line equations and factorisation.
•    Unit 2 Further trigonometry, systems of equations, statistics.
•    Unit 3 Algebraic fractions, quadratic functions and equations and further trigonometry.

During the course there are three unit Assessments based on completed units of work and there is a final examination at the end of the course. The Unit Assessments must all be passed to a set standard (by the SQA) before an overall award will be made for the course. The final examination consists of two papers, one of which is a non-calculator paper.
